In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, many individuals with AAC needs may not have access to AAC devices and materials or may have lost their devices to the storm altogether.  The US Society for AAC (USSACC, a chapter of the International group, ISAAC) was established as a Gulf Relief Committee to spearhead efforts to meet AAC needs of persons impacted following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  That mission has been re-established following Hurricane Harvey in order to provide people in need a place to register for particular goods and services, as well as options for the community to donate and to volunteer.
