The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Speech Language and Hearing Center has been serving the Acadiana area for more than 60 years. Annually we provide more than 10,000 hours of speech, language, and hearing services.
The UL Lafayette Speech, Language and Hearing Center plays an integral role in the training of graduate and upper level undergraduate students in the Department of Communicative Disorders. Our primary purpose is to prepare graduate students for certification and careers as speech language pathologists while providing state-of-the-art services to communicative disordered clients from our community.
Our students assess and provide intervention to a diverse population of clients under the supervision of nationally certified and licensed Speech Language Pathologists.The clients served cross the life span from infants to the elderly. They are diverse in their ethnicity, race, cultures, and backgrounds. All prospective clients from our community are welcomed.
We are enthusiastic about research and strive to provide our clients the most current and proven methods of clinical practice. The services are provided in one-on-one and in small group settings. See a full list of our services.
